bleh. didnt feel good this morning and legs were tight. didnt take it out as fast as i usually do so i was in 10th for the whole first mile which i did in 5:32 but didnt feel good. over the next mile i passed 2 guys... 1 guy passed me back... new guy passed me.... passed them both at the crest of the hill. The rest of the race was just holding it together. My goal the last mile was to catch this dude in a maroon shirt and i kicked with a little less than a quarter mile to go and beat him pretty good. Overall, okay race... legs werent there today... maybe too much training friday? Maybe should have gone out a little harder to be up with the lead pack instead of running by myself the first mile? Oh welll, next year ill be back to break 17min for sure.
