So before I ran this morning I was really not sure what I was going to do for mileage for the next few weeks. I don't even really know what I'm supposed to be doing, I think just sticking at 35. When we planned out my mileage before summer, coach and I talked about how I won't go over 35, even though I'd like to, because it's kind of the threshold for my shins. But I was still secretly hoping I'd hit 40 a few weeks. So since my shins have been hurting recently, I decided I was going to finish this week close to 30, then the next two weeks at 30 with as much cross training as I can. Then take those few days off before camp, then maybe try to start back at 35. And maybe hit 40 the next week if I'm feeling good? Who knows.
Either way, this was a good run. I think my shins knew that I was taking my mileage down so they didn't hurt. But I still think it's a good idea to go down. We'll see.
