Shoes have arrived

I got my sneakers and orthotics mailed to me. I ran 2 loops, and did not enjoy it at all. I'm not used to having to lift the weight of a shoe with my foot, I'm having to activate all these little tendons and things in my ankles to prevent ankle rolling, which previously was not a problem, and my foot still hurts. I ran sort of fast because I was trying to make my footfalls as fast as possible as to not stress my foot so much, as well as because I haven't run since Sunday and that's a ridiculously long break. Running with shoes and orthotics is at least twice as remedial as running in Vibrams, but still not fully remedial. In Vibrams I'm consistently pounding and pushing off of the mid-region of my foot, and in sneakers I'm just pushing off of the mid-region. I'm not really sure if continuing to run is healing me. Loops in 10:34 and 10:20.
Edit: I came up with a sort of hybrid foot strike today that's in between a standard heel strike and barefoot strike. 3 strikes in a sentence and I'm out (I apologize for the pun, sincerely, but it was hard to resist).
