January 22, 2009 (Morning)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: Cloudy, cold
Comments:
Ran a traditional 10-miler from the Mt. Olympus trailhead on Wasatch Dr. up Big Cottonwood Canyon to the Salt Lake Slips (rock climbing area).
Great incline once I headed into Big Cottonwood, it was a real worker. Not sure if it's due not only to the incline but also the pollution. I justified my run in hoping I was above the thick layer of nastiness, but I'm not so sure that is true.
Ran the first half in about 37:45, and enjoyed the second half of downhill fun in 33:41.
New shoes felt wonderful on their first day out.
