Comments:
16:59 (5:12, unknown). More or less what I expected. I felt ok for the first mile or so but then I started to hurt a little, so instead of digging down and maintaining the pace, I more or less coasted for the rest of the race. It's not like I'm proud of that, but it happened. Like I get that a race is a race, not a workout, but when we place 1-17 it's hard for me to mentally get into it and keep pushing to try and pass people when it has no effect on the team score.
I'm going to take Bobby's advice and not dwell on it for too long, considering that I did absolutely nothing to prepare to run well here. I didn't get much sleep in the 3 nights leading up to the race, I've doubled almost every day this week (including today), I'm running 75 miles this week, and I spent my whole day moving furniture up flights of stairs. Oh well, done with it now.
