Exercise Type: Run
Weather: Humid

3 Things I did Well:
1. Ran at a consistant pace the first two 2K laps, opened it up a bit more on the 3rd lap.
2. Tried to maintain good running form throughout the race
3. Had a good week of preperation leading up to the race, didn't feel sore from the week's workouts.
3 Things I did poorly:
1. Ran ahead of the pack I was supposed to run in early on. Decided to continue at pace I was at rather than slow back down to the pack's pace.
2. Let a Shippensburg runner pass me in the final stretch
3. Need to make sure I stretch out my back before the race. My back was really tight during the first part of the race.
I want the coaching staff to know that:
I'm the type of runner that runs better starting out at a faster pace and moving ahead towards the front of the race early on, even if that means running ahead of the team pack. Honestly, I do not possess the turnover needed to run a good race with the strategy of staying at a slower pace throughout most of the race and then busting out at a faster tempo towards the end. I will simply be outsprinted. I understand the strategy of the pack, however I feel like I would run better times by following my insticts and running my own race. It is not my intention to disprespect the wishes of any of the coaches or any of my teammates, I just feel as though I will run better and score higher if I am allowed to move away from the pack if I feel like I should during a race.
