Cutdown Miles

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
2.2 mile warmup. 6 x mile in (5:25,5:17,5:10,5:03,4:59,5:13) with 4 minutes rest. Stomach bothered me somewhat all day so I didn't eat or drink much. On the warmup my stomach started feeling bad so that wasn't a good sign. During the first 5 miles I had to keep burping, etc. in order to settle my stomach a little. On the sixth mile it all kind of fell apart and I couldn't get going at all. Right after the last rep I spent a couple minutes on the ground trying to not throw up, and then I decided that I wanted to throw up, but at that point it was too late and my stomach was already settled enough. This isn't surprising because I've only thrown up 7-8 times in my life (including drinking-related times) so when I feel like this, it's usually a bad sign. 1.3 mile cooldown.

My stomach was primarily an issue only when I was running, and considering that I spent all of last night laying down trying to not throw up, I was surprised that I could even run this half-decently. I hate to use it as an excuse because the timing is just so bad but it really did affect me. Bobby pointed out that I still got the work in, and he's right that that's what is important.

Since practice my stomach has gotten a little better. At dinner it would sometimes get really bad but for the most part it's now ok. Hopefully this doesn't bug me for too much longer.

Looking forward to getting a solid workout in on Friday.
