Yesterday I took the day off but I did do the stretching and the Icing at night.  My foot still has some lingering soreness but I feel that it is much better.  
Today I went right from the van pool to the gym.  It really seems to work best for me.  I knew that I had to take Matt to hockey practice and I was scheduled for studying Hebrew with Lynn but something came up and she canceled the appointment.  
The workout went fast and a little harder.  I have been using the Gamin and the intensity is much better.  I averaged about 141bpm.  This allowing me to burn 500 calories in 34 minutes.  This is good because now I am getting a more efficient workout.
