Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Got up today and decided i needed to hammer. Building endurance strength is important going into the rest of our season. Its nice running in Holly Hills again, and I took full advantage of the sidewalks and mile markers that I know by heart. It was freezing and drizzling this morning, and I actually wore a shirt on the run. I went hard from the very beginning, dropping a 6:15 first mile and 6:05, 6:07 second and third. I turned left on mussetter and left onto 144 to go to oakdale. Running feels so much easier now than it did in the summer its ridiculous. Hills feel like heaven on my legs. Turned into Oakdale high and hit the trail network behind the school, trying to discover something cool. I found a cool creek and a nice climb that gives you a great view of the lake. Finally, I found a trail that goes straight down to the water. Its a chill spot where you can just sit for as long as you want. I skipped rocks for a few minutes and headed home. The spot is conveniently exactly 5 miles out from my driveway according to the garmin, so im gonna hit it up every time i have a 10 mile run. The hills on the way back up to the high school kinda sucked but they build strength. Hammered all the way back to holly hills. Last 4 were 6:22, 6:01, 5:59, 6:31. It was beginning to storm at that point. Now going to surprise gamma for her 90th birthday. Cant wait to see her.
