Comments:
1000s today with the group, not many people were there today. 5 x 1000, not gonna lie, a little motivated by Chicago Chris going for it in the Chicago Marathon, Jed Christiansen getting the qualifier in Chicago, and seeing that people on the team ran 1000s yesterday. 3:13, 3:00, 2:56, 2:56, 2:54...pretty long recovery 3 to 4 minutes on each. Felt more like 3k pace than 5k pace, probably because the latter repeats are my 3k pace. Lower back got a little tight...on my feet most of the day at work.
The damn football team parked an equipment cart at the start in lane 1, and the trainer's golf cart was poking out in lane one on the backstretch...thought about saying something, but some things just aren't worth it.
Happy with today, I may run a 10k in a couple weeks, although I'm not too sure I'm willing to give up another full weekend.
