Comments:
thea, being the wonderful girlfriend that she is, suggested that we go out to a trail to run this afternoon. we found a trail in her parents hiking trail book, which wasn't too far away. the trails were pretty extensive-- ones that i wish i had so close by at home... anyways, the surface was great-- mostly dirt, a little rocky and rooty, but not terrible. it was extremely hilly though, which was challenging, but really enjoyable. sometimes the uphills and downhills were too long, but other times i sped up for sheer enjoyment. it was colder than it has been lately, but i was comfortable in shorts and a halfzip once i got moving. given the hilliness and having to slow down on the more technical parts of the trail, i estimated a bit over 7min pace. felt great about the run.
