Comments:
Out with Arnel at 6:30am, chilly and early, perfect conditions for a long run. Started easy up to 8.5-9 miles out to the bay, with 1-5 minute ladder intervals at close to marathon pace on the way back. Ended up with a loop at Quarry Lakes to complete the intended 20, with the last 15 minutes at marathon pace. Overall good feeling, was tempted to go for an additional 2 miles, instead wrapped it up with some stretching, protein shake and a power bar. 1 gel and 1.5 bottles of water during the run consumed.
