Crazy Country Long Run

January 9, 2012 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Woke up at 9:30 this morning and immediately got my stuff on to hit the roads. I ate one graham cracker and downed half a water bottle before leaving. I had yesterday off, so today was long run time. I took it out in 6:14, which is becoming pretty standard, and headed up Meadow Road. From there, I did the neighborhood that I always forget the name of and headed through Spring Ridge and out and up 144 all the way to Taco Bell, where I hung a Louie and headed towards Reichs Ford. I thought I was gonna die on that road from all of the huge trucks and dust in the air but I busted through that shit, stopping for a minute to stretch at Pinecliff Park, which was 9.71 miles into the run. I decided that I would definately be over my scheduled 14 miles for the day no matter which way I went, so I opted to keep going and take Hines Road. That must be the most hick road I have ever run on. While passing a horse farm, I heard loud squealing coming from the barn. It kept repeating and if I didn't know any better I would think it was zombies. I picked up the pace out of fear of getting shot, and was glad to finally hit Bartonsville Road and head home. My last 3 miles were in the 6:40-6:45 range, and felt pretty nice. Pops passed me while I was heading home on Ijamsville Road and honked at me. What a guy.
