Exercise Type: Run
Weather: 36 and flurries
Comments:
After my "final PT" appointment I parked near the VA end of chain Bridge and took the Potomac Heritage trail north about a mile past Turkey Run and turned back at 40 minutes. Shaved off about 2 minutes ont eh return trip, but that mostly came in the final two miles down past Ft. Marcy. I really enjoyed the run. Took it out easy, hoping to go an hour. Wished for snow and then it began to quietly flurry. Once north of Rt 123, the trail eventually dropped after some steep rolling hills to the river bank and it was quiet and peaceful down there. My first time on that segment and I was rewarded with great river views and peaceful winter scenery. Longest run I've been on in 14 months. Dr Booker said I should be good to go with only occasional follow ups if needed.
