ran 5 times 1200, where the first lap had to be 5 seconds faster than the others. so my goal was going to be 71-76-76, based off of what i thought i could do in a mile right now. i honestly have no idea what i actually would run in the mile right now. but this was just a guess. coach told me with workouts from this point on, i just need to hit my times, no more no less, so i was determined to do it. alas, i had no luck. it wasn't awful, but i just couldn't get it right. it was a weird feeling to slow down even just the five seconds, and not being used to that plus the cold just left me in a bad place. i was thinking too much the whole time i think, but that was also because i forgot my own watch, and had to listen out for called times. ran the majority with tim, and afterward i realized it wasn't as bad as i thought, and i really did put in a good effort, as i was just done after 5. i want this weekend to go well, and i'm glad for 2 days to recover. worked hard at lifting again! i try not to take any breaks as much as can. being continuous with everything.
