Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
went with the Athletic Club (basically the equivalent of Cardiff's cross country team. things are different here!) on their weekly long run. I was told we were doing about 7 miles. Liars. So I don't know how far this was or how fast this was, but to put it into perspective, I was up front running with a small African guy wearing a heavy-looking backpack. When I asked him about it, he told me he was training to go on a fun run from Cardiff (Wales) to Edinborough (Scotland) to London (England) and back to Cardiff. Did I mention that people here are CRAZY???? Anyway, about a half hour in I realized that we must be going very very fast and then we kept running for another 45 mins. I'm going to try to put the miles in based on 7:30 pace, but I can pretty much guarantee that we were moving MUCH faster than that... :( :(
Oh, did I mention that we were plowing up very very large hills? Perhaps not, but I'm beginning to understand that that's how EVERY run works around here. grrrrrrr.
