I was pretty pumped to race shorter faster stuff and to see how i'd do.

I felt really good for the mile, and pushed myself more than usual. I didn't hold back as much as I thought I would for the 1000.

I was excited for the 1000 too. I've never raced it before, so it was an experience. We only had an hour recovery between races, but I was ready to roll for this race too. I started off hard, and just stayed behind a few other LU girls. I eventually caught up to Katie, and tried to just hang with her till the end.

Over all, i'm pleased with my times this early, as I haven't been training for these races, and we haven't done any speed work.

We did plyos and core after our races too. I really think it's making a difference. I can tell a little bit already.

This was a pretty good race/training day.
