pretty bad day overall. got there at 8ish, bought a bag, sat on the bench for hours, and drank my smoothy too late, so that when i warmed up, it wasnt ready to come out the other way in time. Ended up really having to go to the bathroom 15 minutes before the race, but by that time we werent allowed to. Went out in the first lap in second place, until the outer lane came in and then i was in 6th. that was probably the most important thing that i could have done to race better, was to get out faster to be in the top 4 or so. I then got boxed in but stayed calm. I attempted many times to get out of where i was and move up, but i unfortunately was elbowed or tripped or cut off every time (probably 15 or so times). then with 700 to go, i got tripped really badly and went to my knee, looked up and people were gone. by the end of the race i caught back up to the guys, but it was too late and my kick didnt do much. it was a bad race mentally, i gave up too early. Then i got to go to the bathrroom and then cooled down/ warmed up for the 4x800. the race didnt go that well. my splt was a 202. next week will go better, and ill get to redeam myself by starting out fast and going with it the whole time. (the mile was a 4:33). It was nice on the cooldown as tim and i prayed and ended up sitting on a bench saying "we shall sit here rejoicing we shall sit here mourning, greetings and sympathy, so have we done in our time"
