2x3mile tempo on dirt

What a great day! My workout started out with a nice run with Rorie and Sam where we ran a pretty good pace for exactly 30 minutes. Then I ran to the bermuda triangle. and did 2 three mile tempos with 5 minutes walk/jog rest between. The workout went great. I wanted to run the first one at 6 minute pace and the second at 5:30 to see how hard that would be after getting a little fatigued.
First one: first mile was a bit fast 5:45 so I backed off a little and ran 17:43 for my final time. Felt smooth, but not amazing.
Second one: First mile was about 5:20, and then I ran 15:50 for the final time. I ran 5:15 pace for the last two miles and it was great. Pretty exciting for me as I have been feeling off my game. I think some of the lunges and weights are doing me good.

I'm pumped for the meet today, and can't sleep, so I'm going out for a little breakfast after I shower.
