home meet- 4 events

April 3, 2012 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
didnt think about the meet much, hamstring and knee both felt bad all week, mostly scared bout my hamstring in the 400 hurdles. Drank only a sip of water, but also had a full green goodness thing, two protein bars and muffins (plus french toast for breakfast). Warmed up for the 4x800 and ran that at mile pace, which was fun. It hurt on the first lap and then it was not too bad on the second (I also slowed down quite a lot). The 400 hurdles i was very scared of, but it turned out to be really pretty easy, more of an annoying jumping contest than a race really. So i hit most of the hurdles in the first 200 and then got into a good steady pace and felt good and cruised the last bit in. The 800 was pretty soon after that, but i wasnt very tired so I was ready for it. I drafted noah at the start, and then graeme, then passed noah after the first lap and graeme with 200. I put in a surge and heard them fall back and then i finsished with a 2:01.7. Cooled down and then did the 2 mile, trying to get merlin from binghmton to stick with the pack, and then cruised it in at the end. Fun meet, especially for not looking forward to it.
