Goldenbear invite-one goal down, at least one to go

May 5, 2012 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
took the SAT subject tests today and really didnt feel like racing much, plus cartwright said it was going to be an easy meet so i didnt really prepare well. But fortunately was able to get a smoothy made a bit before the meet so other than being brain dead, everything was prepared mostly the same as usual. I heard that the mile was stacked so i started taking it seriously an hour or so before the race, and got a good warmup in (although something between my hamstring and my knee was hurting for some reason). I was put in the outside box for the start with tim, tom, jade, and a few others. We got out nicely and i hopped behind tim for the first lap, then when we cut in, I surged to catch up and got into second right behind brian, accidentally somewhat cutting cory off but not too badly. Then i just stayed behind brian for the rest of the race. with a lap to go he picked it up bigtime but i had been expecting that anyway so i just went with him, but couldnt pass him in the end. splits were 63,69,64,60 for a 4:17.36. Then basically just ran the two mile and came in first, led basically the whole thing. Wasnt bad at all until 800, when my stomach started rebelling a bit. Got a nice cooldown in and then figured out that we won
