Ran to New river from work, taking it very easy it took about 25 minutes or so. Ate some bread and fish and also had an ensure drink before setting off, had another ensure before thesession, and yet another after. Nutrition wise, I was fine. The session was pretty tough, but quite nice short intervals. I started off taking it a bit too easy, because 18 intervals seems a lot, the aim was to do 6 at 3k, 6 at 1500 and 6 at 800pace, and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to speed up if I tried too hard at the start. In fact, I did manage to speed up about the right increment, but I did more like 5k, 3k, 1500m pace. I was still one of the faster runners there, and I only had about two or three intervals where I wasn't consistent with my pace or really struggled. Afterwards, I ran back towards home, eventually stopped and waited for a 34 when I got to Oakleigh at the other end of Beaconsfield.
