Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 56 Cloudy 78% Humidity

Comments:
Knee felt solid before during and after race. Led the race for the first couple hundred feet. Pretty cool but I did go out a little quick. Mile 1 felt great. Mile 2 started to feel uncomfortable. Got nervous so I pulled up a little. Mile 3 started to get some rhythm again and started battling battling back and forth with Heather. She caught me around mile 4? and we ran together for a bit before she pulled away. I started to fade by mile 5. By mile 6 when we turned into park she pulled away and was gone. It was all I could do to hold my pace for that last mile. Had to really dig and still faded in that last mile. Nothing left in my legs. The 10 days off hurt me a lot more that I had expected. Very very sore the next day in quads and calves. But knee held up and I finished 3rd male overall so despite losing a great chance at PR I am still happy.
