Comments:
My goal going into this race was 17:45-18:00. Not a ton of sleep last night and pretty sore from basketball yesterday, but I was fairly ready to go come race time. There was good competition there and I had 2 other guys to pace with for 2ish miles. Started out conservative in about 10th, but by .5miles in some people slowed down and I got into the top 3. Took the lead at .75miles and paced us until the 2 mile mark. Fell off the top 2 at the 2 mile mark and the 3rd place guy got me at 2.5. Pleased with this race b/c it is significant progress. I think with a couple more months of training I will be sub-17 again and back in 2:45 marathon pace.
