Long run on trails

Weather: overcast, mid 70s

Comments:
Not sure of the actual distance, but I ran for that time and it felt pretty close to 7 min pace the whole time. Planned on running to the path, but had a change of heart at the corner of 95th and naper/plain. Decided to run to Knock Knolls and run the secluded paths there. Trails are only about a foot wide and you have to dodge roots, mud, and make a ton of sharp turns. Figured I should probably do my long runs in the trails or somewhere hilly from now on, officially decided to run the trail marathon with Kevin in July. Plan on working my long runs up to 20 or 22 gradually. Felt very good on the trails, ran about 25 minutes on them. Took the straights fast and had my eyes on the ground making sure I didn't twist an ankle. Saw a few deer and A TON of squirrels - successful run. Legs are pretty dang tired now.
