EFFORT: I estimate that 170bpm is my anaerobic threshold. However, I always go by the feel of the effort. I know my perceived effort is pretty accurate because I made the decision to back off of the pace a little during mile 13 becaue mile 12 felt like I had reached my AT--fancy stuff...mile 12 was 170bpm on the nose.

ACHES and PAINS: No discomfort or tightness through first 36 minutes. I felt hamstring tightness 3 or 4 times throughout the remaining minutes of the run, but it never lasted for more than a few minutes. I felt some achiness @ medial to knee cap/retinaculum around 80min in.

SURFACE and TERRAIN: Cinder and large gravel (certain sections). Some rough footing during large gravel sections. Terrain was flat, except some small hills during first mile and last mile.
