Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
It may not have been the best idea to do a really long run the day before a race. However, it went okay. I had never been in an open race this big before and my friend and I were essentially boxed in for the first mile, making it really slow. The second mile was really hilly and was entirely on trails. We really were able to pick it up in the last mile and passed about 50 people. I was a little disappointed that the time wasn't faster, but it was hilly and there were a lot of people. There is another 5k in two weeks that we are going to do and we are planning on treating this one as more of a race, meaning that we will do an easy run the day before.
