Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
ran with the big group at bedford. we ran the length of the park up to a street, and then took ethan's route to the towpath, at which point chris and corey split off to head back. then ethan and i ran on the towpath for 2+ miles, at a decently fast pace, turned around at ~1 hour, and headed back. it was really hot, and it started to hit me on the way back. we stopped at a bathroom where we thought there would be water. nope. next was the snack stand by the golf course. not open for another 20 minutes. finally we walked over to the clubhouse and drank from the hose outside. probably the most refreshing water i've had in a long time. then ran the 4ish miles back to the start. it was pretty rough. the hills were a lot more difficult than on the way out. it was definitely a slog, but we made it back, and even negative split (barely). i wasn't expecting or intending to run so long today, but now i just have a real easy run tomorrow, and start a week of 65. also hopefully this is as hot as it gets. apparently the heat index was like 110. it was the polar opposite of my last 16 mile run, which involved copious amounts of snow, wind, and coldness. the only similarity, since i survived, i feel even more confident in myself.
kinda stretched, kinda just enjoyed not moving for a while.
