Went to Blue Marsh Lake today, took over an hour to get there so that kinda sucked, but its a nice place. Warmed up for a mile then stretched, I wanted to do 15 today instead of 14 but we split up into groups and I was with Knouse, Ward, Mahalsky, and Molloy as the 14 group. My legs felt really good considering that workout yesterday. We took the Squirrel Trail and the first mile was crazy slow according to Knouse's gps (7:58 take it for what it is). We picked it up from there and passed the 15mile group of Jimmy, Russ, Ty, Lyle, and Sam. We started hitting a lot of hills with real shitty footing, and the downhills were more of a descend safely rather than get rolling sorta thing. Around 4.5 miles we hit this one crazy mountain of a hill where every time you thought you hit the top, you had another 100-300 meters to go, that thing sucked. The 15mile group caught us and we actually ended up turning at the same point as them (Knouse had it as our distance but it was definitely underestimating). Got rolling a little on the way back 6:40s-50s for some tough trails. Felt more like a workout than a long run since there were no flats at all, but it was definitely good in the long run. Did a half mile cool down around the parking lot at the end just to run on some flat ground.
