TEAM C!!!!!!!
we won intersquad by a fraction of a second!! TEAM CHEMISTRY!!! :D
felt fast. stayed with Kelsey and Erica until about a mile to go. then rolled my ankle 3 times in quick succession on the torn-up back part of the course. I can't entirely blame that for the fact that I didn't stay with them for the last mile like I should have, but it was definitely a contributor, because I was completely freaked out by it and terrified that I was going to roll my ankle BADLY, like in a season-killing way. I was scared. In any case, that IS a farm PR for me, WOO HOOOO!!! I'm just also extremely sad that I didn't go under 20. That was my last 5k at the farm (I won't be there for alumni) and that was one of my goals. I know that the farm is a deceptively slow course and all that jazz, and it's just intersquad, it doesn't really matter, but not getting under 20 does make me sad. It was a PR though, and almost 30 seconds faster than my previous farm PR (the course for last intersquad was really torn up, however). I think I just need to stay really positive and have my head up completely for Sudeck. I've done a ton of training this summer, and I need to trust it entirely at every point in the race. I've earned that much.
