Weather: nice, rainy, only slight drizzle when I ran

Warmup: 2k of the course + form drills
The biggest problem during the race was that my right shoe came untied at the very beginning and after checking to see if the chip was firm, 100 yards later during the only downhill of the course, it fell off. Because other runners told me that it had fallen, I returned to get it and held it for the entire race. I tried really hard to catch up with those that I should have been running with and was just between Adam R. and Chris at the end. After unprecedented levels of dizzyness, saturation, and raisin muffins we did a 2 lap warmdown in grass past our tent.
