Hot Run

HOT HOT HOT run. I was kinda idiotic and (for the first time this season no less) wore a baggy, thick cotton tshirt… it also happened to be the hottest run I’ve done since xc began… ugh. death in the form of sweat. I actually stopped at one point under the one shady tree I could find and stood for like a minute trying to cool down some.

But other than the heat it was actually a pretty good run. I did a 1/2 mile warmup, then ran this 2 hard, 2 easy, ending with .8 cool down. I ran this slightly faster than my normal at home workouts but not by a ton. It just gave the run more interest since I ran Friday and Saturday with a LSD (long slow distance) mindset (though friday was exactly long) I needed some kind of change.
