milage fail.

made it through the tempo just fine, even with the heat. felt bad initially for letting kelsey and erica go but then didn't feel bad anymore when I learned that I actually kept the pace, and that they just crazy lowered it. ten seconds slower than last week, which isn't so bad I guess considering the heat. Although it was pouring down rain last week and I did the tempo alone. So maybe this should have been faster. Oh well.

Mile splits (ish): 6:40, 6:45, 6:50, 6:45

Outside of my right calf cramped up in a ball immediately upon stopping the tempo. Coaches and Kristen and Thea helped rub it out as best they could (thanks!!!) and I iced it. The coaches wouldn't let me cool down though, and they're making me take tomorrow off as well. Now I'm really REALLY mad at myself for taking yesterday off. Because now my milage for the week is absolutely screwed. And I'm not going to pack a ton in before/around Calvin because the race means more to me than that. So I'm just going to have to get over having a low milage week. Too bad. I know I needed it anyway.
