Comments:
Pissed that I didn't run yesterday, stuck working on a paper all day.
This time last year, two weeks before the great race, I decided I would do a 7 mile tempo with the team...I decided to do something similar this year because even though the 7 mile tempo made me tired for a few days, it helped a ton and I ran awesome at the Great Race. In that tempo last year, I think I ran 39:30 something, so like 5:38-5:40 pace. I wanted to do a 10 mile tempo as my last real hard workout before the race.
Out North Park from my apartment, the typical route. Took splits at Cedar Rd. both ways from my apartment, went out for 30:00 then turned around. Felt like I went pretty far, turned around, kept rolling. Decided to finish strong the last mile or so. Today was a huge strength builder and an even better confidence booster.
Track workout tomorrow to work on speed/pacing.
This 10k might not actually go as badly as I thought
