Comments:
Ran with Tom for first 4? miles. Shins were sore, esp R shin for first 5m or so. Felt very comfortable for most of the race, no cramping or stomach problems. Started to tire around 9m. Those couple miles were net downhill but I was struggling to hold 6:30 pace. Tom was about :30 behind the whole time. Got up the big hill on m12 slow but steady. Tom made up a lot of time there. I turned around early in m13 and he was closing on me so I took off with everything I had left. Gave everything I had to push to the finish. I was able to break him and finish 26s ahead. Back pain as usual was pretty severe but did not slow me. Other than that felt pretty damn good. 3rd place overall!!! Good run in the time range I was expecting bc of training I had missed. I can still do so much better. Def can take a run at sub 1:20
