With most of the top boys... warmed up to Ft. Reno and then ran Soapstone Valley to Western Ridge horse trails to Maintenance yard to Comanche trail back to Broad Branch. (I turned up Soapstone and intercepted the rest of the group which I sent up Brandywine. Then straight back to school. Deliberately made the pace build up the hills and for several stretches of flat or rolling. Was quite a hilly tempo run at times for me, but the group was just where I wanted them... a very natural, organic kind of tempo with a few recovery patches. My knees, especially the right, weren't very happy and I was pretty well tanked on that steep climb out of Soapstone near the base of Audubon Terrace and cutting over to Brandywine, only to acknowledge that I still had half of that hill to climb and was 100 meters back from the group I'd meant to intercept. Distance and time are guesses.
