15-miler through the Verne

October 6, 2012 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
5 miles to the commercial area of Mt. Vernon, 3 min. break, 5 miles running around, 5 min. break, 5 miles the same way back.

The thing about running with my iPod is that it tends to overestimate mileage on hilly terrain and underestimate mileage on flat roads. So this run could realistically have been anywhere between 14 and 16 miles. Still, this run was 50% flat and 50% hills or rolling roads. So I'm pretty confident with Acro's estimation. (Yeah, my iPod has a name. sorry)

As for the run itself, I loved it. It was slow, but I never felt like I was getting close to the limit of my endurance. Perfect weather, perfect smells of fast food throughout Mt. Vernon, perfect smoothie right afterward. Mango madness, man. It's mad good.
