Weather: My race was nice a little windy.. Cold nice race temp.
Comments:
The night before I have pasta with the team for dinner and got about 7.5 hours of sleep. For breakfast I had a homemade peanut butter banana sandwich. All morning my stomach felt a little upset. Probably just the nerves. In the first half mile I let the kid who ended up winning go because he got out really fast and I thought he was going to drop back. Nico pretty much just sat on me and then kicked the whole race. Sorta not happy with myself. I dropped 13 seconds from my St. Ignatius meet and that's pretty crappy. After going up the hill during the race My calf started to hurt a little and progressively got worse throughout the race. In the end when Nico got some space from me and was with the Northside kid I sorta didn't try as hard because I felt like I sucked. I used to be like 2 mins faster than Nicos in the 2 mile and 3 minutes faster than him in the 3 mile and the last two meets he's kicked me ass pretty much. I wish I didn't get hurt because I missed the main part of the season and didnt get to run at Palatine. All I took away from this meet was that there is so much work to do because Whitney's best freshman broke 11. Hopefully I do better in track.
