Manhattan Invitational

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: pretty nice out, average temp and sunny.

Comments:
had a nice pasta dinner the night before and slept well both nights. Felt good overall and was only a little sore. We warmed up a bit longer than normal, and then did the 90s tempo before the race. I got out well, I could see the top runners only about 20m ahead of me at the bridge, but I fell back on each uphill pretty badly. I would get passed by about 7 people every uphill and pass 3-5 back on the downhills. Ended up doing alright, but not nearly as well as i had hoped. Tom, Sam, and John all had very good races. We were a nice pack but I should have been up farther. Time to shake it off and try a few more race strategies. I will be fit and ready to go come sectionals, states, and feds.
