Weather: Cloudy, cross country weather

Comments:
We went to Derwood today. I got nine hours of sleep last night; Never in my life have I felt so prepared for a race. In the thin, fall air I calmed my nerves and got my head right, for the trials to come, remembering that despite the time, last year's race may have been my most focused effort ever. After jogging the course, the team did some stretches and reembarked on the bus. MAC Championships is tomorrow. My second one. The fourth and final for some, the third for others and for a lucky few, the first. Though tomorrow I will stand on the line a stronger, more driven, less compromising individual than I was a year ago, I know that my first Championships will always hold a special place in my memory. I am certain that without this team, and the coaches, I would not have the dedication I strive to improve--to meet the high standards that you all have set. So to everyone on the Georgetown Day Cross Country Team--Let's see what we have to show for our months of work; let's see how much faster and more determined we can be than previous years. Let's run good!
