I feel like I've been trapped in the same, blustery, cold Sunday run for the past three days. At least I know now that I am mentally prepared to run through the winter. Today I got creative with the route, discovering an extension of the trail I ran on all summer. I thought things over a little bit, clearing my head and feeling rather unfit and slow. To counteract this, I picked up the pace and really pushed the two hills coming into my neighborhood and finished things off with six striders. I did not do strength work today--I'm not really sure if it is helping at this point.
