Comments:
First mile in 4:50, felt fast but not too hard. Calves started tightening up a little after the mile and I was forced to slow down a lot. 5:10 pace to the finish. Felt easy and probably could have gone another couple miles at that pace but my legs just wouldn't respond, especially my calves. Very frustrating. Barely even felt like a race. On the bright side, though, it's good to know that I'm fitter than this time shows. I also broke my college 8k pr by 9 seconds so that's nice too.
