November 24, 2012 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: crisp and ideal... low 40s, clear, dry

Comments:
Team had a special day. I Feel so lucky to be part of this. There was a breeze and leaves were falling where we camped. I entered the day with 95 total leaves on the season and was eying the triple digit mark. I jogged a mile early on to scope out spectating routes. Later I jogged around a leafy soccer field to stay loose between races(and catch leaves). Altogether I coached 3 races with about a hard mile of running during each. At the conclusion of the final race, Naomi's school record 19:33, I was still only at 99. I suggested... urged... mandated Nomi run a cooldown with me. Accompanied by Monheim and Pillard, I caught two more including a clump of pine needles to get me to 101 over a span of minutes. Then spent 7 plus hours driving home including an ill-advised "short cut" which led Gnome and me to the Chancellorsville Battlefield. Heck of a season... first time in double digits in some time... oh yeah, and the 12th best boys cc team in the Southeastern United States, plus a state champion girls team too.
