Had my first mile today at Virginia Tech. Overall I think it went pretty well. It was tough but I had a good warm up and felt mentally ready. The race went out a little slow and started to pick up around 600m. I ran hard and just didn't have quite an extra gear with 400m to go. I ran 4:17.94 which was a PR for the full mile. I thought it was a good start because I feel like I have a lot to give once I elevate my training and I want to peak in May. Below are my rough splits.
