Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
First race back from the Achilles injury: 15:48 5k to win the slowest heat. Im happy with this today. really just jogged around for my warm up and i felt good. I made a point of not going out too fast: 5:06 first mile. after that split i took the lead and ran the next mile by myself: 10:10 through 2. I started hurting and two guys went around me with about 1k to go. I hung on them and felt as the pace slowed a little so i took over the last 2 laps for the win. There is a lot of good i can take from this: first race back, first 5k, i closed fast, and i felt injury free, but at the same time i have a long way to go to get where i want to be.
