This run was a bust. I wanted to get 18-19 today around 5:45 pace, but the weather just made that impossible. I did a 1 mile warmup, then was running 5:45s for the next 3 miles and felt easy and controlled. Then I got down by the beach and the wind was horrendous. Easily hit 40mph, and right in my face. The part that really made it impossible though was that snow had drifted onto the road like crazy and I was slipping all over the place while getting blasted by this wind. So in a matter of minutes I went from running 5:45 with no huge strain to running 6:10-20 pretty much killing myself. I did end up doing another 7 miles around 6:15 pace but it seemed pointless to push it any longer than that and I decided to shut it down and hopefully go for this workout again when it's not so shitty outside.
