Tempo run. SPOILER ALERT: I didn't blow up this time

Etters said we had a 25/30 minute tempo today...I was not happy about that. Earlier I got back to my room after a test feeling absolutely exhausted. I slept for 2 hours before practice and woke up still totally wiped. Got to practice just trying to stay awake, felt like I was tempoing during the warmup. I aske Etters to do just tempo miles but he shot that down and I wasn't about to wait until Saturday to workout so I said I'd give it a shot. Got out to the course and started out a bit conservative. The whole time I was trying to tell myself I'd be fine and wouldn't die and somehow I actually managed to get myself through this one. This was the first tempo workout in several weeks where I wasn't bringing up the back in fact I was right up near the front. I only did 25 min and Molloy was with me and really helped my keep pushing. When we finished we were about 15 seconds behind Ty and Mahalsky who went for 30 min. They crossed the 8k in just under 26:30 so we probably would've been 26:55 or so which is 5:24 pace which is not bad for a slightly wet course on a day I felt like ass. Really happy about that one. Cooled down with Knouse for about 3 then did hurdle drills to cap it off.
