Successful Negative Split Run

Comments:
Was pretty aprehensive going into this run, it was really cold out and I haven't been fairing too well with tempo's lately. Workout outline was 30 min negative split run, 15 minutes easy building up to 15 minutes at hard distance run pace building up to tempo the whole way back. My easy run segment I averaged low 6:20s, Hard run segment mid 5:40s (both of these probably a little bit fast, I was a little excited going out), and the tempo back I clipped off mid 5:20s. Overall I felt pretty good, especially considering the first half of the tempo back was continuous uphill (albeit the last 1.5 miles very gradual downhill). My legs felt good and I felt very in control of breathing and my mechanics. Edit: after mapping it out I made it 4.95 miles out in 30 minutes (6:03 pace) and brought it back in 26:51 (5:25 pace). There's a nice easy sub 27 8k off of a mid 17s 5k before it
