My high school coach agreed to come to the track today and time me for my workout today. I warmed up 3 then did 4x200 w/200j at 30 32 31 31. Then i jumped into the 7x1000 workout with 2:30 rest. I hit 2:59s for the first three which was my goal time but my legs really were feeling iffy...probably the result of a pretty high intensity week. I went 3:03 on the next one and decided to up my rest to 3:15 to make sure I was getting the right recovery. After that I went 3:02-3:02-2:58. Not a great workout but it was quite windy on the homestretch and about 30 degrees so not the best conditions and its the end of a tough week so I'm not too bummed about it. It was great to have my high school coach there and we caught up for a while after the workout. Somehow this workout did a number on my digestive system. I feel like shit right now its been 3 hours and my stomach still isn't settled.
