Comments:
ran half of 7 with chrisandethan. Legs didnt feel all that fresh which is weird because they should always feel pretty good from taking sundays off. lower quad was kind of tight and stuff.
Took 3/4 scoop of NO-Xplode, felt pretty fuckin jittery within 20minutes from the 225mg of caffeine.
60lbs dumbbell presses, felt much easier/better than last week at home! was able to do 4 full sets of 8, then i think 5 or 6 on the 5th set, dropped for about 4 reps on 45lbs. couldnt do a NOS set cuz there was a lack of dumbbells. Felt great, felt huge engagement of the outer pecs on this one.
3x8 flyes with 27.5, trying to use MI40 principles of 40seconds under tension, elbows locked at the top and on a slight diagonal to maintain tension. the second 2 sets had to use rest-pause, 6-2 reps. pretty good stretch/activation overall.
Switched to dumbbell curls with 30s. 3x8, rest pauses on the latter 2 sets. then 4th set dropped to 50lb barbell, pumped out 5+. then next set started with 8 reps of barbell superset with assisted negatives with 25s.
incline presses, 3x8 with 95lbs. showing improvement since my peak conditioning from the fall, where i would use 95lbs doing inclines fresh. probably use 115s fresh now. still suck at inclines though compared to flat bench. 3x8, rest pause 6-2 the last set.
Cable flyes- lifted the cables way up high, ended the range of motion below the navel, and goddamn. felt the contraction in the chest like never before. good mass appeal exercise. 3x8 with 20lbs, did a NOS set but it wasnt too challenging because by the end it was only like 7lbs.
reverse/hammer curls w/ 25lbs, 3x8, then a super/dropset with cable curls. really burned the forearms good on this one.
definitely murdered the biceps today, its already sore as i'm typing this about 3 hours later. never been this quick before.
NO-Xplode gave some pretty good skin tearing pumps. skin on the lower biceps was so tight it was almost un-pinchable. vascularity was also pretty good, perhaps slightly obscured by subcutaneous water retention from the sodium.
overall extremely happy with how the lift went. making good progress and moving onto 65lbs next week.
